Description:
Vaccination is intended to prepare the immune system for the battle against the potential future attack by the real “invaders”. The immune system is a complex defense mechanism which protects us from the attacks of a “foreign threat” and in which many “soldiers” interact with each other to eliminate the invaders. These “soldiers” can be divided into two major groups: those who are members of the innate immune system and those who are part of the adaptive immune system. It is important to note that these two systems do not work independently and are in cooperation to provide a powerful defense against foes.
